A REVIEW OF ITS GRAND SUCCESS
Believed to be first of its kind organic festival in India, Nagi Fest held at Namthang Rateypani Constituency of South Sikkim from 31st Dec-2nd Jan had attracted around 40,000 visitors during this 3 days. Festival witnessed a unique extravagance filled of with the taste of Sikkimese traditions , cultures , natural beauty of the place and a very organic foods in which the area is famous for. Visitors from around the state along with neighbouring states of West Bengal & North Eastern States & countries of Nepal & Bhutan as well was a measure breakthrough.
Organising committee Nagi Tourism Development Committee (NTDC) was well appreciated by the top brass bureaucrats, political leaders, tourism promoters who had visited during this festival. Travel Agents Association of Sikkim (TAAS) in their visit to festival had seen a life for the travelers in this 5’600 ft altitude beautiful Nagi Region.
The focus of the festival captured by the International crew came from Bhutan Broadcasting Service (BBS2) along with North East based top print media & promoters from West Bengal. Local medias had also given wider publicity live to this festival, as it was very very deserving . The low budget festival funded by each individual public of the constituency had remarked a major success in the every fields as it was marked for.
The next ultimate travel destination Nagi Pokhari of Namthang- Rateypani has been established now in South Sikkim with the measure success of this festival.
