Peshawar: A Pashto actress was gunned down in front of her mother by unidentified militants in Pakistan’s restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Musarat Shaheen, along with her mother, was on her way to a nearby market for shopping in Nowshera district when some unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire.
Shaheen was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her bullet injuries.
The accused, meanwhile, managed to flee the spot. According to the abplive, A case of murder was registered but no arrests have been made.
The motive behind the murder was not immediately known. Further investigations were underway.
